Can’t Take Your Quiz?
Meet the new Proctorio Student Guide: everything you need for proctored quizzes and exams, in one place.
The guide shows you how to set up Proctorio, get ready for an exam, complete the pre-checks, and fix the most common problems, including the “LTI Tool Missing” message.
Quick fix in 6 steps

Use a laptop or desktop: Windows 11 or a Mac (macOS 13 or newer), with Google Chrome (recommended), Edge, Brave, or Opera. Safari and Firefox are not supported. See system requirements.

Remove the Secure Exam Proctor extension: three dots (⋮) → Settings → Extensions → Remove.

Install it again from getproctorio.com.

In your course’s General section, click Secure Exam Proctor and wait for “Plugin Successfully Installed!”

Go to the section with your exam, wait a few seconds, then click the exam.

Wait for Proctorio to load. Don’t guess a password if one is requested.
Don’t forget your photo ID. Not showing it when asked can result in a zero.
